Negative Emotions Are Treasures (Part 1)
When you first encounter Hado Counseling, you might be surprised by the range of emotions you experience—especially the negative ones you didn't even know existed.
In Hado Counseling, emotions are seen as a part of consciousness, the mental activities that arise in response to life experiences.
It's widely known that our consciousness is made up of about 5% conscious mind 1), and 95% subconscious mind, including both personal and collective unconsciousness 2).
1) The Conscious Mind: The part of our awareness we actively experience daily, encompassing thoughts, feelings, and perceptions in response to external stimuli.
2) The Subconscious Mind: The personal unconscious includes forgotten memories, repressed emotions, and unconscious desires, all of which significantly shape behavior and personality. The collective unconscious, on the other hand, is a domain beyond individual experiences and culture, seen as a universal human unconscious realm.
Human history has been shaped by conflict, suffering, and survival. While some regions still face these challenges, countries like Japan now enjoy relative peace. Yet this state of calm is relatively new — only a few decades old. (Of course, this is a general statement - individuals might face various challenges.)
Given this, it's no wonder that negative emotional energy is deeply embedded in our genetic and energetic makeup.
Did you know that you have around 1.1 billion ancestors over 30 generations? Shocking, isn't it?
Hado measuring devices reveal not only the emotions you're consciously aware of but also those hidden within your subconscious — emotions you've experienced throughout your life, and (this might surprise you) from past lives, even those inherited from your ancestors.
These devices confirm that these emotions exist as energy within your energy field.
But, don't worry.
Negative emotions are treasures and act as signposts, saying, "This isn't the right path!" When you accept and genuinely release them, you reconnect with your authentic self.
In Buddhism, there's a saying: "煩悩即菩提 (bonno soku bodai)", which is a Buddhist concept that can be translated as "earthly desires can lead to enlightenment." This means that the existence of negativity or negative emotions can lead to discovering a more positive self.
In Buddhism, "bonno" refers to desires and attachments, which cause mental confusion and suffering. In contrast, "bodai" refers to a state of awakening, symbolizing enlightenment.
By embracing suffering and confusion as opportunities for growth, you pave the way to true happiness.
Negativity, then, is a treasure. It serves as a catalyst for awakening and self-discovery. Life is a journey of experiences, and even challenges are valuable lessons. By expressing gratitude for these moments and letting go of negativity when possible, you can return to your truest essence.
